Incident: House fire in Crewe

Attendance: Two appliances from Crewe
Details:

Two appliances from Crewe attended a house fire on Mills Way, Leighton, Crewe.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and carried out a search to check that nobody was trapped. Everyone was accounted for.

 

Crews discovered the fire was caused by a pan that had been left on a stove.

 

Firefighters used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear the smoke that had spread through the property.

 

They then carried out a home safety assessment before leaving.

 

Incident: Fire in Chip Shop, Runcorn

Attendance: Two appliances from Runcorn
Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn, proceeded to a report of a fire in a chip shop on Windmill Hill Avenue West, Runcorn. On arrival crews discovered a fire involving a chip range and flue in the shop.

Two Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus one hose reel, dry powder, and Positive Pressure Ventilation Stage Two was used to extinguish the fire, the Thermal Imaging Camera was then used to detect any remianing hotspots.

Smoke detectors were fitted in the premises and fire safety advice was given.

Incident: Rubbish Fire in Warrington

Attendance: Two appliances from Warrington
Details:

Two appliances from Warrington proceeded to a report of a garage on fire in Leicester Street, Warrington. On arrival it was a rubbish fire in a domestic garage. Smoke from the fire had affected three other garages.

Two Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus and two hose reels were used to extinguish the fire.

Incident: Road traffic collision in Congleton

Attendance: One appliance from Congleton and one appliance from Kidsgrove (Staffordshire)
Details:

One appliance from Congleton and one appliance from Kidsgrove (Staffordshire) attended a report of an road traffic collision at Newcastle Road, Astbury, Congleton. On arrival the crews found the incident to involve two saloon cars with one male person medically trapped.

Crews removed the roof from the vehicle and personnel assisted ambulance staff to put the casualty on a longboard.

Attendance: Two fire appliances from Crewe.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Crewe attended a house fire at Golden Street in Crewe.  The incident involved a small fire in a ground floor flat which was out on arrival.  Crews used a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan to clear the smoke.  Smoke alarms were fitted and did activate.  Crews completed a Home Safety Assessment while in attendance.

Incident: Rescue of man stuck on roof.

Attendance: One fire appliances from Stockton Heath together with the hydraulic platform and the Line Rescue Unit from Knutsford together with a fire appliance.
Details:

One fire appliance from Stockton Heath together with hydraulic platform from Stockton Heath and the Line Rescue Unit and supporting fire appliance from Knutsford attended Aston Lane North in Runcorn to a report of a male with an injured knee stuck on a roof.  Crews stabilised the male and assisted him from the roof and into the care of the Ambulance Service.

Incident: Fatal collision in Gawsworth

Details:

Two appliances from Macclesfield were ordered to a road traffic collision on Dark Lane in Gawsworth. 

 

The incident involved a single car. One man was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The crews made the vehicle safe and the incident was left with the Police.

Incident: Shed fire in Northwich.

Details:

Two fire appliances from Northwich attended to a report of a shed fire on Beeston Street in Northwich.  When crews arrived they found a garden shed which had been on fire but was out on their arrival.  A Home Safety Assessment was carried out at the property.

Incident: Unsafe garage roof in Sandbach.

Details:

One fire appliance from Sandbach was ordered to a report of a roof being blown off a garage on Gawsworth Drive in Sandbach.  The crew made the roof safe by removing unsafe panels from the structure.

Incident: Road traffic collision in Wilmslow.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Wilmslow and one from Cheadle (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service).
Details:

Fire appliances from Wilmslow and Cheadle (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) attended to a report of a road traffic collision with persons trapped on Altrincham Road in Wilmslow.  There were no persons trapped and crews assisted the ambulance service with the casualty and made the vehicle safe.

Incident: Fence fire in Runcorn.

Details:

One fire appliance from Runcorn attended a fence on fire at Lyndale, Runcorn.  The fire was extinguished by firefighters using one hose reel.

Incident: Telegraph pole on fire in Frodsham.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Frodsham.
Details:

One fire appliance from Frodsham attended to a report of a telegraph pole on fire on Depmore Lane, Kingsley, Frodsham.  The fire involved a high voltage junction box, which was out on arrival of fire crews.  A Scottish Power engineer attended and isolated the power.

Incident: House fire in Chester

Details:

Two appliances from Chester and one appliance from Ellesmere Port were mobilised to a report of a house fire on Merton Drive in Chester.

 

Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan.

 

 

 

Incident: Collision on the M56

Details:

An appliance from Ellesmere Port came across a road traffic collsion on the M56 Motorway Westbound at Junction 11 Preston Brook. 

 

The incident involved a single vehicle in collision with the central reservation. The crew made the vehicle safe.

Incident: Crews cut a man free after a collision

Attendance: Two appliances from Macclesfield
Details:

Two appliances from Macclesfield attended a road traffic collision on Chelford Road at Henbury near Macclesfield. 

The collision involved two vehicles and there was one man trapped with lower leg injuries.

The crew removed the roof of the vehicle and successfully rescued the casualty using specialist equipment.

Incident: Diesel spillage at Sainsburys in Northwich

Details:

One appliance from Northwich was ordered to Sainsbury’s Petrol Station, Venables Road at Northwich to investigate a large diesel spillage. 

 

The crew used Dammit Paste to plug the leak.

 

Incident: Wheelie bin fire

Details:

One appliance from Warrington attended a fence and wheelie bin fire at the rear of Manchester Road, Warrington

 

The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet.

 

 

Incident: Property fire in High Legh.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Birchwood and one appliance from Warrington.
Details:

One fire appliance from Birchwood and one appliance from Warrington proceeded to an electrical installations fire at a property on Moss Lane in High Legh.  On arrival crews found there had been a fire in the electrical intake to the house, which had gone out.  A Positive Pressure Ventilation fan was used to ventilate the property.  A smoke detector was fitted, though failed to activate. Crews carried out a Home Safety Assessment while at the property and fitted new smoke alarms before leaving.

Incident: Derelict building fire in Runcorn.

Details:

Two fire appliances from Widnes attended a report of a building fire in the High Street, Runcorn. On arrival crews discovered a small fire in a derelict property and extinguished the fire using one hose reel.

Incident: Motorbike fire in Chester.

Details:

Two fire appliances from Chester attended a motorbike fire on a driveway at Houghton Close, Chester.  One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.  The fire was suspected deliberate ignition and the Police were informed.
