Incident: Grass fire in Lymm

Attendance: One appliance from Stockton Heath, two appliances from Warrington and one appliance from Birchwood
Details:

One appliance from Stockton Heath proceeded to a report of a grass fire on Oughtrington Lane, Lymm. On arrival crews found a fire involving approx 15 acres of mown hay and called for a further three appliances. Two appliances from Warrington and one from Birchwood were mobilised. Firefighters used hose reels and beaters to extinguish the fire.  

Incident: Kitchen fire in Woolston

Attendance: Two appliances from Warrington
Details:

Two appliances from Warrington attended a report of a fire in the kitchen of a property in Berkshire Drive, Woolston.  On arrival crews discovered a fire in the kitchen well alight.  Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to clear the premise from smoke.  An ambulance was requested for an occupant who was suffering from slight smoke inhalation. 

Incident: Road traffic collision, Chester

Attendance: One appliance from Chester and one appliance from Ellesmere Port
Details:

One appliance from Chester and one appliance from Ellesmere Port attended a road traffic collision on the A41, Chester, with a person trapped.  On arrival crews found two vehicles were involved.  Firefighters extricated one casualty who was then transported to hospital by ambulance. 

Incident: House fire in Chester

Details:

Two appliances from Chester went to report of house fire on Sherbourne Avenue, Chester. 

 

 On arrival crews located fire involving unattended cooker which was out on arrival, smoke detectors were fitted in property which did operate.

 

A Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan was used to clear the smoke. 

Incident: House fire in Wilmslow

Address: Manchester Road, Wilmslow.
Attendance: One pump from Wilmslow and one pump Cheadle (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service)
Details:

One pump from Wilmslow and one pump Cheadle (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service)attended a call to a kitchen fire in Manchester Road, Wilmslow.

 

Once in attendance this was found to be a fire involving a dishwasher. Crews extinguished the fire and used a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan to clear the smoke.

 

Crews conducted a Home Safety Assessment before leaving.

Incident: Man falls down stairs

Details:

One appliance from Birchwood were called to a property on Pasture Lane, Warrington at request of Ambulance Service.

 

A man had fallen downstairs. Crews used a spinal board used to remove casualty who was then left in care of Ambulance service. 

Incident: Child trapped by a seatbelt

Attendance: One appliance from Holmes Chapel, one appliance Middlewich and one appliance Sandbach
Details:

One appliance from Holmes Chapel, one appliance Middlewich and one appliance Sandbach mobilised to report of car on hard shoulder with child trapped in seat belt.  Crews released the child. 

Incident: Four van fire in Crewe

Attendance: Two appliances from Crewe
Details:

Two appliances from Crewe attended a large vehicle fire off Middlewich Road in Crewe.

When they got there the crews found that the incident involved four vans.

They used four breathing apparatus and two main jets to fight the fire.

The four vehicles were destroyed in the blaze.

The Police were called to assist as this is a suspected deliberate fire.

Incident: Wilmslow house fire

Details:

One appliance from Wilmslow, one appliance from Poynton and an appliance from Cheadle (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service), proceeded to a report of a house fire on Pickmere Road, Handforth, Wilmslow. 

 

On arrival crews discovered that the fire has been caused by food left unattended on a cooker.

 

 

Two people had been led to safety and were then given oxygen therapy at the scene as they were suffering from slight smoke inhalation and administered oxygen therapy. 

 

 

Incident: House fire in Runcorn

Address: Sycamore Road, Runcorn.
Attendance: Two appliances from Runcorn
Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn proceeded to a report of a smoke alarm sounding in Sycamore Road, Runcorn. 

 

On arrival crews gained entry into the premise and treated the occupant for slight smoke inhalation. 

 

 

This was caused by food left on an unattended cooker. 

 

 

Incident: Shop and flat fire in Nantwich

Attendance: Two appliances from Crewe and an appliance from Nantwich
Details:

One appliance from Crewe and an appliance from Nantwich attended a report of a building on fire at Hospital Street, Nantwich. 

 

On arrival, the crews found that the incident involved two shops and two flats.

 

 A further appliance from Crewe was sent to assist.

 

Crews used two hose reels and four breathing apparatus to deal with the fire.

 

A fire investigation has been launched.

Incident: Peat fire in Runcorn

Attendance: Two appliances from Runcorn
Details:

One appliance from Runcorn attended a report of peat on fire on Kekwick Lane Daresbury.

 

When the crews arrived they found an extensive fire involving about 30m sq of peat. A further appliance was called in to assist.

 

The crews spent hours tackling the incident. They used water backpacks, shovels and a main jet to put the fire out.

 

 

Incident: Man trapped following a fall down stairs

Details:

One appliance from Warrington proceeded to a male with his arms stuck in a banister in a property on Hume Street in Warrington following a fall down the stairs.  

 

The crew released the casualty and handed him to paramedics.  

Incident: Derelict building fire in Knutsford

Details:

One appliance from Knutsford and one appliance from Wilmslow attended a report of a building fire at Hollow Lane, Knutsford. 

 

On arrival the crews found a small fire involving a derelict property. The fire was extinguished using a hose reel and two breathing apparatus.

 

A Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan was also used to clear the smoke. .

Incident: House fire in Runcorn

Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn were mobilised to a report of a house fire at Hillside Avenue, Runcorn.  

 

On arrival, crews found a fire involving the ground floor kitchen of a semi-detached property. 

 

The crews extinguished the fire using two hose reels and four breathing apparatus.

 

A fire investigation has been launched.

Incident: Woman trapped in a car following a collision in Runcorn

Attendance: Two appliances from Runcorn
Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn attended to a report of an road traffic collision at   Norton Village, Runcorn.

 

On arrival, crews found that the incident involved two cars. One woman was trapped.

 

The crews released the woman using  hydraulic equipment.  She was then transfered to hospital by ambulance. 

Incident: Fire at a Crewe Allotment

Details:

Two appliances from Crewe attended to a report of a shed fire at Ford Lane Allotments, Rear of Badger Avenue, Crewe

 

On arrival, crews used two hose reels and one main jet to fight the fire.

Incident: Large fire at a Congleton industrial park.
Incident ID: 9098

Address: Radnor Park Industrial Centre, Boalloy Industries, Back Lane, Congleton.
Attendance: One appliance from Congleton and one appliance from Holmes Chapel
Details:

One appliance from Congleton and one appliance from Holmes Chapel attended a fire at Radnor Park Industrial Centre, Boalloy Industries, Back Lane, Congleton. 

 

 On arrival, crews found a large quantity of industrial equipment on fire.  The crews used two main jets and one hose reel to put the fire out.

 

 

Incident: See-saw fire in Macclesfield

Attendance: One appliance from Macclesfield
Details:

One appliance from Macclesfield attended to a report of a fire in a park off Franklin Close, Macclesfield.

 

 On arrival, crews found that the fire had involved a see-saw  but it was already out when they gout there.

 

Crews dampened down the area around it.

Incident: Bathroom fire in Helsby

Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn attended a report of a bathroom fire in Alvanley Drive, Helsby.

 

On arrival crews found a fire involving a boiler.  Firefighters extinguished the fire using one hose reel, two breathing apparatus and a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan. 

 

A smoke alarm was fitted to the ground floor but did not activate due to the fire being on the first floor.  Crews carrying out Home Safety Assessment before leaving and an ambulance was requested for an asthmatic female with possible smoke inhalation.
