Incident: Road traffic collision on M6 - Jct 21 & 21A.

Attendance: Two fire appliances from Warrington and one from Birchwood.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Warrington and one appliance from Birchwood attended a report of a road traffic collision with persons trapped on the M6 Motorway between junctions 21 (Woolston) and 21A (Croft).  There was one female trapped who was released by Fire and Rescue Service personnel.

Incident: Fire in derelict building in Howley, Warrington.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Warrington.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Warrington were mobilised to a report of a warehouse on fire at the rear of St Elphin’s Church in Howley.  This was a rubbish fire inside a derelict building.  Backpack extinguishers were used to extinguish the fire.

Incident: Static caravan fire in Northwich.

Details:

Two fire appliances from Northwich were mobilised to a report of a building on fire at the rear of the Co-Op on Middlewich Road in Rudheath, Northwich.  The fire involved a static caravan, and was extinguished using one hose reel jet and one main jet.

Incident: Smoke alarm alert, Runcorn

Details:

Two appliances from Runcorn were mobilised to a report of a domestic smoke alarm at Canal Street, Runcorn.  On arrival crews discovered that the alarm was activated due to smouldering tissue paper. The elderly occupant suffered slight smoke inhalation and crews administered oxygen therapy until the arrival of ambulance. A Home Safety Assessment was carried out and a further smoke alarm fitted. Halton Care Line will attend later today to fit one of their smoke alarms.

Details:

1 appliance from Congleton attended a report of a kitchen fire at Oak Lane, Marton, Congleton that was believed out at the time of call. Crews found there had been a fire in the kitchen which was out on their arrival; oxygen therapy was given to two occupants suffering from smoke inhalation. The property was fitted with smoke alarms which had activated, and crews also carried out an Home Safety Assessment before leaving the incident.

Details:

2 appliances Runcorn, 1 appliance Widnes, 1 appliance Frodsham, the Hazardous Materials Unit and supporting appliance Warrington and the Control Unit and supporting appliance from Northwich attended to a report of a fire in an electrical installation at Ineos Chlor, South Parade, Runcorn. When crews arrived, they found a fire involving an alternator unit in the generation plant. Fire crews wearing 4 breathing apparatus used two jets and a foam line to extinguish the fire.

Incident: Small fire at Great King Street, Macclesfield

Attendance: 2 pumps from Macclesfield and the hydraulic platform from Stockton Heath attended.
Details:

2 pumps from Macclesfield and the hydraulic platform from Stockton Heath were mobilised to reports of a property fire at Great King St. Macclesfield. Once in attendance crews found a small fire in the ground floor of a three storey multi occupancy property . Crews wearing 2 breathing apparatus dealt with the fire using 1 hose reel and the positive pressure ventilation fan.

Details:

One appliance from Warrington and one appliance from Birchwood attended a report of a fire at a derelict property at School Road, Orford.  On arrival, the crews found this incident involved a large quantity of patio furniture at the rear of the property. The crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

Details:

One appliance from Warrington attended a report of a fire in the open at Marshhouse Lane, Warrington. On arrival the crew found this incident involved the door frame of a derelict garage. The crew extinguished the fire using a hose reel. 

Incident: Bedroom fire, Ellesmere Port

Details:

Two appliances from Ellesmere Port were mobilised to a bedroom fire in Hooton Green, Hooton, Ellesmere Port.  Crews found a small fire that was out on arrival and used a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear smoke.  The occupier of the property was given oxygen therapy for minor smoke inhalation.  There were smoke detectors fitted and these had operated.

One appliance from Ellesmere Port attended to assist Ambulance with a 54-year-old male casualty suffering from hypothermia, who was stuck on the marshes. 

Incident: Caravan fire, Lymm

Details:

One appliance from Stockton Heath was mobilised to a fire in the open on Cherry Lane in Lymm.  This was a fire involving two caravans.  Crews used one hose reel to extinguish.

Attendance: One appliance from Bollington, two from Macclesfield, one from Poynton and one from Wilmslow, the command unit and support appliance from Northwich, the Environmental Protection Unit with prime mover and support appliance from Ellesmere Port are in attendance
Details:

One appliance from Bollington, two from Macclesfield, one from Poynton and one from Wilmslow, the command unit and support appliance from Northwich, the Environmental Protection Unit with prime mover and support appliance from Ellesmere Port are currently in attendance at Brierley Coal, Blakestonedale Road, Pott Shrigley.

The fire involves a workshop containing 4 propane cylinders, one oxygen cylinder and 3 main jets are in use.

Cheshire Police have closed Bakerstonedale Road in both directions and are advising people to avoid the area where possible.

Details:

One appliance from Northwich and one appliance from Winsford attended a report of a building fire at Bowland House, Gadbrook Road, Rudheath, Northwich. Upon arrival crews discovered a small fire in a boiler house.  Crews wearing two breathing apparatus and using one hose reel extinguished the fire.

One appliance from Warrington and one appliance from Birchwood attended a small fire involving security boarding on a disused building at Winwick Road, Warrington.  The crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel.

Whilst mobile in their station area an appliance from Widnes came across an elderly female who had collapsed The crew administered first aid until the arrival of ambulance personnel.

Details:

Two appliances from Winsford attended a report of a fire in a derelict building formerly known as the Liquid lounge at New Road Winsford.  On arrival crews requested two further appliances and an aerial appliance.   Further appliances from Northwich and Middlewich and the aerial from Stockton Heath attended.  The fire was extinguished using three hose reels, a covering jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Details:

One appliance from Northwich and one appliance Holmes Chapel attended a report of a house fire at Princess Street, Winsford.  On arrival crews requested further appliances and an appliance from Crewe together with Winsford and Middlewich also attended.  The fire involved the roof void of a mid-terrace of five properties.  The fire was extinguished using two hose reels and six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus.  Smoke alarms were fitted in the property and did activate.  Home Safety Assessments were carried out on three adjacent properties, all of which had working smoke alarms fitted by the Fire Service.

Incident: Gorse fire, Runcorn

Details:

A Targetted Response Vehicle and an appliance from Runcorn attended a large gorse fire at Runcorn Hill, Weston Road, Runcorn. The fire was extinguished using two hose reels.

 

Incident: Fire in flat

Details:

Two appliances from Warrington attended a report of a flat fire in Woodvale Close, Warrington.  On arrival crews discovered a fire in a terrace flat involving an unattended grill pan.  Crews used two breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and clear the premise of smoke.  Smoke detectors were fitted and did operate.  Once the fire was out the crews remained at the property until Arena Housing arrived when they handed over to them.
