Incident: Fatal collision in Gawsworth

Attendance: Two appliances from Macclesfield
Details:

Two appliances from Macclesfield were ordered to a road traffic collision on Dark Lane in Gawsworth. 

 

The incident involved a single car. One man was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

The crews made the vehicle safe and the incident was left with the Police.

Incident: House fire in Chester

Attendance: Two appliances from Chester and one appliance from Ellesmere Port
Details:

Two appliances from Chester and one appliance from Ellesmere Port were mobilised to a report of a house fire on Merton Drive in Chester.

 

Crews used six breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a Positive Pressure Ventilation Fan.

 

 

 

Incident: Collision on the M56

Attendance: An appliance from Ellesmere Port
Details:

An appliance from Ellesmere Port came across a road traffic collsion on the M56 Motorway Westbound at Junction 11 Preston Brook. 

 

The incident involved a single vehicle in collision with the central reservation. The crew made the vehicle safe.

Incident: Crews cut a man free after a collision

Attendance: Two appliances from Macclesfield
Details:

Two appliances from Macclesfield attended a road traffic collision on Chelford Road at Henbury near Macclesfield. 

The collision involved two vehicles and there was one man trapped with lower leg injuries.

The crew removed the roof of the vehicle and successfully rescued the casualty using specialist equipment.

Incident: Diesel spillage at Sainsburys in Northwich

Details:

One appliance from Northwich was ordered to Sainsbury’s Petrol Station, Venables Road at Northwich to investigate a large diesel spillage. 

 

The crew used Dammit Paste to plug the leak.

 

Incident: Wheelie bin fire

Details:

One appliance from Warrington attended a fence and wheelie bin fire at the rear of Manchester Road, Warrington

 

The fire was extinguished using one hose reel jet.

 

 

Incident: Property fire in High Legh.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Birchwood and one appliance from Warrington.
Details:

One fire appliance from Birchwood and one appliance from Warrington proceeded to an electrical installations fire at a property on Moss Lane in High Legh.  On arrival crews found there had been a fire in the electrical intake to the house, which had gone out.  A Positive Pressure Ventilation fan was used to ventilate the property.  A smoke detector was fitted, though failed to activate. Crews carried out a Home Safety Assessment while at the property and fitted new smoke alarms before leaving.

Incident: Derelict building fire in Runcorn.

Attendance: Two fire appliances from Widnes.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Widnes attended a report of a building fire in the High Street, Runcorn. On arrival crews discovered a small fire in a derelict property and extinguished the fire using one hose reel.

Incident: Motorbike fire in Chester.

Attendance: Two fire appliances from Chester.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Chester attended a motorbike fire on a driveway at Houghton Close, Chester.  One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.  The fire was suspected deliberate ignition and the Police were informed.

Incident: Fire involving a toaster at a property in Macclesfield

Attendance: One fire appliance and the hydraulic platform from Macclesfield and one appliance from Congleton.
Details:

One fire appliance from Congleton, one fire appliance and the hydraulic platform from Macclesfield proceeded to a report of a fire in a property in Hovis Mill, Union Road, Macclesfield.  On arrival crews discovered this to be a fire involving a toaster in a ground floor flat.  The communal hallway was smoke logged and crews used a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan to clear the premise from smoke.  Two residents were taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Incident: Caravan fire in Neston.

Attendance: One fire appliance from Ellesmere Port and one appliance from Heswall (Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service).
Details:

One fire appliance from Ellesmere Port and one appliance from Heswall (Merseyside) proceeded to a report of a caravan fire on Damhead Lane, Willaston, Neston.  On arrival crews discovered a fire involving a caravan with two gas cylinders venting off.  Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and a Thermal Image Camera was used to monitor the temperature of the cylinders.

Incident: Road traffic collision in Ellesmere Port.

Address: Badgers Rake Lane, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port.
Attendance: Two fier appliances from Ellesmere Port.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Ellesmere Port proceeded to a report of a road traffic collision with persons trapped on Badgers Rake Lane, Little Sutton, Ellesmere Port.  On arrival crews discovered one male was trapped.  Crews stabilised the vehicle and extricated the casualty before handing him over to the care of paramedics.

Incident: Climbing frame fire in Norley

Details:

One appliance from Northwich proceeded to a report of a small fire in the open.  On arrival, crews found this to be a wooden climbing frame on fire and they used hand appliances to extinguish it. 

Incident: Skip fire in Ellesmere Port

Attendance: One appliance from Ellesmere Port
Details:

One appliance from Ellesmere Port proceeded to a report of a skip on fire at the rear of Superdrug, Snowden Road, Ellesmere Port.

 

Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. 

Incident: Road traffic collision on the M56

Address: M56 Westbound between junctions 15 (Stoak) and junctions 16 (Dunkirk).
Attendance: Two appliances from Ellesmere Port and one appliance from Chester
Details:

Two appliances from Ellesmere Port and one appliance from Chester proceeded to a report of a road traffic collsion on the M56 Westbound between junctions 15 (Stoak) and junctions 16 (Dunkirk).

 

When they arrived crews discovered that the incident involved one car. Crews checked that there were no people trapped before assisting the police with the incident.

 

 

Incident: House fire in Macclesfield.

Address: Melksham Close, Macclesfield.
Attendance: Two fire appliances from Macclesfield.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Macclesfield attended a call to a house fire on Melksham Close in Macclesfield.  Once in attendance crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reels to deal with the fire, which was caused by an electrical installation in the living room.  A Positive Pressure Ventilation fan was used to ventilate the property.  No smoke detectors were fitted at the property.

Incident: Canal barge fire in Chester.

Attendance: Two fire appliances, the boat and the hydraulic platform from Chester and the Line Rescue Unit together with an appliance from Knutsford and an appliance from Ellesmere Port.
Details:

Two fire appliances from Chester together with the boat and the hydraulic platform, and the Line Rescue and an accompanying fire appliance from Knutsford and a further appliance from Ellesmere Port attended a canal barge fire at Cambrian Road, Chester.  One hose reel and two main jets were used to extinguish the fire.

Incident: Property fire in Warrington.

Details:

Two fire appliances from Warrington attended a house fire at Marshall Avenue in Warrington.  On arrival, crews found a fire involving a two storey end terraced property.  Four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one covering jet and a Positive Pressure Ventilation fan were using to extinguish the fire.  The Red Cross Fire Victim Support also attended the incident.

Incident: Dangerous structure on building in Macclesfield.

Details:

One fire appliance from Macclesfield was mobilised to a dangerous structure on Briarwood Avenue, Macclesfield.  On arrival, crews removed an aerial from the gable end wall of a property.

Incident: Fence fire in Runcorn.

Details:

One fire appliance from Runcorn attended a call to a fence on fire on The Uplands, Runcorn.  Once in attendance crews used a hand appliance to deal with the fire.
