Princes Road, Ellesmere Port

Two fire engines from Ellesmere Port and one from Chester

The cause of a house fire in Ellesmere Port overnight is under investigation.  Firefighters, four wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets as they investigated the seat of the fire.  This was found to be in the living room of the unoccupied two-storey mid-terraced house.  The fire was put out using hose reel jets.  Thick smoke had spread to the roof void and into the roof voids of two adjacent houses which were evacuated as a precaution while crews cleared the smoke.  Cheshire Police also attended the incident.
