Alsager fire station open day

This weekend Alsager Community Fire Station will once again be throwing open the station doors to the public for an event that promises something for everyone.

From 12noon to 4pm on Sunday 1 July there will be fun for all the family with a range of activities at the fire station on Brookhouse Road.

Operational demonstrations and firefighter demonstrations will take place throughout the day; there will also be a range vintage and modern fire engines on display.

In addition, we'll also have the smoke tent and a variety of community stands including the Fire Fighters charity, Cheshire Police, Blood Bikes and North West Ambulance Service.

Alsager Fire Station Manager Tony McCourt said: "This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local fire station and learn about some of the work that we undertake.

"You'll also get the opportunity to meet some of the hardworking on-call firefighters who provide round the clock cover to help keep the local community safe.

"We would like as many people as possible to come along to our open day, have a great time and leave with some vital fire and road safety messages."
