Fire crews complete charity bike ride

Firefighters waiting to start the charity bike ride for injured Firefighter Vicki Griffiths

On 26th and 27th June, Birchwood on-call firefighters did a two-day bike ride around all fire stations in Cheshire to raise money for their injured colleague, Firefighter Vicki Griffiths.

Vicki recently had a serious accident whilst in the gym which has so far left her unable to feel or move from the waist down. She now has to readapt to her new life and this fund along with love from her family and friends will help to support her through her new challenges.

To help get Vicki home from hospital her home and car first need adapting, and this is where any money raised will help.

Fundraising

During the bike ride, the team stopped at every fire station and collect money that stations had raised by holding different fundraising events.
