There are around 150,000 people registered as D/deaf in Cheshire, Warrington and Halton.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service work with three deaf organisations across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington, if you wish to receive support from them please contact them as follows:
Deafness Support Network (DSN)
DSN is a service provider organisation for D/deaf* people in the county of Cheshire and the surrounding areas.

Deafness Resource Centre (DRC)
The Deafness Resource Centre provides services for D/deaf people, their carer’s and families. They offer information and guidance to other Service Providers in the area to ensure that their services are fully accessible for D/deaf people.

Emergency signs for deaf people
An innovative 'Emergency signs' card was developed in partnership between Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service and Deafness Support Network. The card includes basic sign language enabling firefighters and D/deaf community to communicate with each other in event of an emergency.
