Nepal 2015 - Fire cadets and leaders

Fire cadets and leaders who will be building a school in Nepal:

Fire cadets

Elaine Gnyp. Elaine has been a Fire Cadet at Sandbach for 2 years. Elaine loves to sing and is a member of a local choir. Elaine has completed her D of E Bronze award and First Aid qualification.

Lois Beeson. Lois has been a Fire Cadet at Knutsford for 3 years. Lois is a Crew Manager at Cadets; Lois is a quick learner and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Jessica Lee. Jessica has been a Fire Cadet at Holmes Chapel for 18 months. Jessica is a determined person who loves a challenge. Jessica designs and makes fused glass gifts.

Jessica Leighton. Jessica has been a Fire Cadet at Holmes Chapel for 18 months. Jessica is a Crew Manager at Cadets and would like to be a full time firefighter. Jessica loves to dance and has entered numerous competitions.

Ryan Lysycia. Ryan has been a Fire Cadet at Holmes Chapel for 18 months. Ryan is a member of the Holmes Chapel, Viking Explorer Scouting Unit and recently completed his D of E Bronze.

Lydia Stanley-Dale. Lydia has been a Fire Cadet at Holmes Chapel for 18 months. Lydia has a keen interest in music and has been to lots of concerts and gigs.

Louis Greenwood. Louis has been a Fire Cadet at Winsford for 2 years. Louis is a member of Vale Royal Athletics club and represented Cheshire and Northern England.

Hannah Wenborn. Hannah has been a Fire Cadet at Winsford for 3 years. Hannah’s hobbies are Netball, Hockey and Rounder’s.

Imogen Graffham. Imogen has been a Fire Cadet at Winsford for 2 years. Imogen’s main interests are music and sports.

Poppy Noden. Poppy has been a Cadet for 6 months at Birchwood. Her hobbies are reading, running, photography and playing the piano.

Alyx James. Alyx has been a Cadet at Crewe for 4 years. Alyx is a very hard working person who has been involved in lots of school projects which have developed her leadership skills.

Daniel Simpson. Daniel has been a Cadet at Widnes for 2 years. Daniel is a Crew Manager and is working towards his silver D of E. Daniel’s hobbies include rugby, basketball, Muay Thai.

Sam Robinson. Sam has been a Cadet at Widnes for nearly 3 years. Sam is an enthusiastic young person and enjoys taking part in practical activities.

Declan Hodgson. Declan has been a Cadet at Runcorn for 2 and a half years. He is a Crew Manager and regularly leads his watch in activities. His hobbies include football and camping.

Bethany Heeley. Bethany has been a Cadet at Runcorn for 2 and a half years. Bethany is a very busy young person who get’s involved of lots of activities. She is an active member of her local church and helps with Sunday schools and mentors the younger children.

Staff

Vicky Wrest. Vicky is employed by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as the Fire Cadet Manager. Vicky is the project Manager for Nepal 2015 and has a wealth of knowledge and experience working with young people.

Jen Regan. A former Cadet Jen is a Leader at Homes Chapel and Sandbach. Jen is looking forward to the challenge and can’t wait to experience the sights and culture of Nepal.

Ben Bradbury. Being a pilot Ben is used to overseas travel. A former Cadet Leader at Sandbach Ben has a broader role with Cheshire Fire Cadets. He supports with the administrative processes, Training, Cadet, Leader and unit development and Cadet Camps.

Keith Roberts. Keith is a Cadet Leader at Widnes, he also supports and co-ordinates our Duke of Edinburgh delivery. Keith is a retired operational firefighter; he was an operational Firefighter for 30 years, four years as a crew manager and fifteen years as a watch manager. Keith is a qualified A1 assessor, has a NEBOSH certification, is a trained H&S auditor, has teaching qualifications as well as two years as an instructor in the training department and one years teaching experience at West Cheshire College.

Tony Taylor. Tony has been a Cadet Leader with Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service for the last 6 half years. Tony is a leader at Macclesfield and Knutsford and was part of the Ghana 2013 team. Tony has a degree in Business Management.

Robyn Taylor. Robyn is a Cadet Leader at Wilmslow and Knutsford. Robyn is a positive a fun person who loves supporting young people. Robyn was a member of the Ghana 2013 team and is already well on the way to achieving her fundraising target.

Trisha Healy. Trisha is employed by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as a Prince’s Trust Assistant Programme Manager at Ellesmere Port. Trisha has a natural ability to motivate young people and support them in order for them to feel empowered to try new things. Trisha has experience of volunteering in a teaching role in Malawi. This allowed her to further develop on the skills required to work with a different culture in what is often a very challenging environment.

John Walkey. John is employed by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service as a Prince’s Trust Programme Manager. John has been a Cadet Leader at Widnes for the last 8 years and before that a Leader with the Air Training Corps for 22 years. John has been actively involved in delivering the Duke of Edinburgh scheme for the past 30 years. John is a qualified D of E assessor, mountain leader trained and a qualified expedition leader.

Nick Evans. Nick is the Youth and Community Cohesion Manager for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. Nick has worked for CFRS for 15 years is ultimately responsible for all our youth programmes, Fire Cadets, RESPECT and Prince’s Trust. Nick also knows the funniest joke in the world!
