On this page you can find out about consultation at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Why we consult
We have a duty to talk and listen to members of the public, our staff and our partners to make sure we meet the needs of the communities we serve.
From consulting widely on our annual plan to asking residents and businesses for views on our community fire prevention work, we recognise we can only be truly effective if we fully understand what people expect and think of us - and if we involve them in shaping the way we work.
The aims and objectives of our programme of consultation and engagement activity are set out in our Consultation and Engagement Strategy, which can be viewed using the following link:

Please use the links in the menu on the right to check if we have any consultations taking place at the moment.
2021/2022 Precept Engagement
We consult on a range of issues, which are listed below. Please use the menu on the left to view reports from our previous consultations.
We consult on the following:
Integrated Risk Management Plans (IRMPs) - these are our annual action plans that set out our priorities and activities for the year ahead.
Strategic consultations - we periodically consult on our overarching strategies, which inform our annual plans.
Public Satisfaction Surveys - we conduct public satisfaction surveys every two years to determine what the public think about us and the services we provide.
Customer Satisfaction Surveys - we ask people for feedback when we undertake work in the community such as Safe and Well visits in people’s homes or providing safety advice to businesses. We also ask for feedback after attending certain emergency calls.
Have your say - join our consultation panel
One of the ways we talk to residents of Cheshire, Halton and Warrington is through our consultation panel, which is called Response. Members of the panel are regularly sent surveys about our work and are given the opportunity to take part in our consultations.
Membership is completely free and you can choose whether you'd prefer to have your say by post (we'll always supply a freepost envelope) or online.
You can join Response by completing the following form. Alternatively, you can request a hard copy of the form to complete by hand by contacting us on the number or email address below.

Please rest assured that all the information you provide will be held in strict accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This means it will be held securely, only ever used in relation to your membership of Response and never shared with a third party.
