An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) is a way of finding out if our services and employment opportunities are accessible for our communities and employees and do not discriminate in any way. In other words, a discrimination risk assessment.
An EIA should be completed in respect of every policy/initiative, service or employment practice the Service carries out. An EIA is about being proactive; it looks forward to see that customers and employees can access our services, instead of reacting to any complaints or concerns.
