2021-22
Completion of Financial Statements Audit
The audit of the Authority’s financial statements for the year ending 31 March 2022 has been completed and can be inspected at the address below, or viewed online at www.cheshirefire.gov.uk
The completion of the Financial Statements audit were approved by the Authority on 28th September 2022 followed by the Auditor’s Annual Report on 7th December 2022.
The completion of the work necessary to issue the Whole of Government Accounts (WGA) Component Assurance statement for the year ended 31 March 2022 is not yet available. This means that the audit has not yet formally concluded and the audit certificate not yet issued.

Notice of Conclusion of Audit
Notice is hereby given that the Audit of the 2020-21 Accounts of Cheshire Fire Authority have been concluded as in accordance with Section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act and the Accounts and Audit (England) Regulations 2015 Part 5 regulation 16.
Cheshire Fire Authority has issued its Statement of Accounts for the year ending 31 March 2021. These were approved by the Authority at its meeting on 29th September 2021.
The Statement of Accounts includes a narrative report, a statement of responsibilities, the financial statements, the independent auditors report and the annual governance statement.

You can also find a full copy of the accounts at the Authority's Headquarters in Winsford. If you are a Local Government Elector in any of the Local Authority areas we serve (Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Halton or Warrington), under Section 25 of the Local Audit and Accountability Act, you have the right, if you wish, to:
•Inspect and make copies of the accounts
•Inspect and make copies of reports made to the body by an auditor
•Ask the Authority to make copies of the statements or reports, for which there would be a reasonable charge.
