About Birchwood Fire Station
Birchwood Fire Station was built in 1980 and officially opened on
26th January 1981. We cuirrently have three watches on station, Charlie Watch,
Delta Watch and On-call Watch.
At Birchwood fire station as well as our regular training and attending incidents, we are involved with:
Free Home Fire Safety Checks
If you live in Cheshire, you can arrange for a Firefighter or a Community Safety Advocate to visit your home.
During the visit advice will be given on how to make your home safer, what to do in the event of a fire and what to do if you are trapped by a fire.
Free smoke alarms will also be fitted (if needed) with an explanation on how to maintain it correctly.
Arrange a home safety assessment
Carry out your own fire safety check
You can now do your own home safety check (online). It takes 5 minutes to check your home. 5 minutes that could save your families lives.
Do the online 'home safety check'
Cadets
We have a group of cadets that meet up once a week at the station
School Safety Visits
Fire fighters go out to the local primary schools to give our children, usually in year 5, fire safety messages. As part of this visit we use our Kidzone section of the website.
