Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service is responsible for enforcing the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

The main effect of the changes from 1st October 2006 has been a move towards greater emphasis on fire prevention in all non-domestic premises, including the voluntary sector and self-employed people with premises separate from their homes.

More details and guidance notes on the new Fire Safety Order can be found under Business Safety.

Cheshire West and Chester Community Fire Protection Office is based at Chester Fire Station.
