About Lymm Fire Station

Lymm is a wholetime fire station with four watches: Red, Blue, Green and White. It consists of one fire engine, an aerial ladder platform and a technical rope rescue unit. Also located on site is Safety Central which delivers educational programmes that aim to reduce accidental deaths and injuries from fire, at home, on the road and in the community.

As a station we attend and support at a wide range of incidents involving line rescue, large animal rescues and Swiftwater incidents. We also liaise with a range of other partner agencies including Cheshire Constabulary with incidents such as malicious calls, arson and stolen cars which require fire investigation.

Safe and well visits

We carry out safe and well visits. This includes fitting free smoke alarms where necessary and carrying out a risk assessment of your home, and giving fire prevention advice. In doing this we liaise with other community support groups.

Safe and well visits

You can now do your own home safety check (online).  It takes 5 minutes to check your home. 5 minutes that could save your families lives.

Road Safety Campaigns

We take part in campaigns to make everyone aware of road safety. We attend more road traffic collisions than fires so an important part of our work is making everyone aware of the importance of road safety.

School Safety Visits

Firefighters go out to the local primary schools to give our children, usually in year 5, fire safety messages. As part of this visit we use Sparkton.

Future Events

We attend local events where we can promote safety messages such as Road Safety, Safety in the home and community awareness with regards to antisocial behaviour and malicious fire calls. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service events, county events and religious festivals can be found in our events calendar.

Would you like us to attend your local event?

Each year we attend many local events. If you would like to discuss the opportunity of a fire appliance attending your event, then please contact us via - Contact
