About Winsford Fire Station

At Winsford fire station as well as our regular training and attending incidents we are involved with the following:

Free Home Fire Safety Checks

If you live in Cheshire, you can arrange for a Firefighter or a Community Safety Advocate to visit your home.

During the visit advice will be given on how to make your home safer, what to do in the event of a fire and what to do if you are trapped by a fire.

Free smoke alarms will also be fitted (if needed) with an explanation on how to maintain it correctly.

Carry out your own fire safety check

You can now do your own home safety check (online). It takes 5 minutes to check your home. 5 minutes that could save your families lives.

Road Safety Campaigns

We take part in campaigns to make everyone aware of road safety. We carry out demonstrations on rescuing casualties from vehicles as part of the drive survive course.  We also attend driver engagement days with the local Police.

School Visits

Firefighters go out to the local primary schools to give children fire safety messages. These presentations are given to year 5 children and, as part of this visit, we use Kidzone,  a part of the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service website.
