Winsford Fire Station History
The original fire station in Winsford was located at the bottom of the High Street and Wharton Hill before the roundabout was built. It was relocated in 1976 to its current location on Sadler Road.
In 2008 the station underwent some much needed refurbishment. This included removal of the snooker table in order to split the old recreation room to create a separate community meeting room and crew room.
A second phase of refurbishment has now been completed. This includes a new locker room with updated 'Pod Style' toilet facilities. Each Pod is a self contained area containing toilet, shower and hand wash basins. An extension to the rear of the station is to house a new gym area for use by station personnel as well as the Occupational Health Department and Headquarters staff.
