Have your say on plans to rebuild Crewe Fire Station
The public are being invited to give their views on plans to demolish and rebuild Crewe Fire Station.
A consultation period is taking place between July 20 and 26, during which people can complete a short online survey to have their say on the current plans.
The station, which is located on Macon Way, is now outdated and in need of a rebuild to make sure it is fit for purpose for the communities it serves.
The contract for the new build has been awarded to ISG, whom the Service has worked with previously on several other new fire stations as well as the new training facility at Sadler Road.
The consultation is aiming to capture feedback and ensure the local community and businesses have the opportunity to give their views on the plans before work goes ahead.
Station Manager Andy Watson said: “The station at Crewe has been a great asset to the Service, but it is now time to give it a total rebuild in order to make sure it is fit for the future.
“We have worked with the designers and our own firefighters and staff to formalise the plans prior to submitting for planning approval, and now we want to get the public’s opinion.
“Your views can help shape the look and feel of the new Crewe Fire Station, so please complete the online questionnaire by July 26 to have your say.”
