The main purpose of this job roles is to:

Support the Safety Central Centre Lead to design and create educational programmes, events and activities, manage and deliver a menu of learning programmes in immersive scenarios to schools, community groups and other organisations across Cheshire, host special events and contribute to the day-to-day smooth running of the centre.

You will also, at times, be required to support Targeted Youth programmes, Princes Trust programmes and events delivered by Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service to children, young people and adults across Cheshire as required.

Duties will cover/ include

  • Supporting the management and organisation of all Safety Central resources.

  • Maintaining all partnerships and identifying new links to develop Safety Central.

  • Promoting Safety Central through social media channels and the website, assisting with printed materials and attending external exhibitions.

  • Completing and maintaining all the relevant paperwork required in relation to the delivery at Safety Central.

  • Planning and delivering quality assured appropriate activities and programmes.

  • Making sure all learning resources for educational visits are current, relevant and in place.

  • Preparing the centre for educational visits, meetings and training, as per the booking diary.

  • Conducting necessary building checks and reporting, organising and monitoring any repairs and defects with estates and external contractors.

  • Conducting and reviewing Risk Assessments for activities and visits.

  • Managing centre visits by meeting and greeting large groups as they arrive, briefing group leaders/accompanying adults on health and safety considerations before their visit and managing the timings and logistics of visits with volunteers.

  • Organising and managing special events.

To join our team, you’ll have:

Minimum five GCSE’s including Maths and English, with proven experience of working in training, education or event management in an environment which is both office based and customer focused. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft applications and pay attention to detail. You will be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong focus on delivering and exceeding customer satisfaction. You will be well organised and be able to prioritise, manage time and meet deadlines whilst also problem solving in often changing circumstances. You will be able to work flexibly including evenings & weekends, hold a current full driving licence and be willing to drive service vehicles.
