Prevention Department at Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Winsford, CW7 2FQ
9 hours per week, evenings (and occasional weekends)
Starting salary of £5,909 within the Salary Scale 4, £24,294 - £25,979 (Full time equivalent) per annum based on experience

The main purpose of this job roles is to offer leadership and guidance and support the personal development of young people aged 11 to 19 through the delivery of street based activities, which empower and help young people to be aware of fire safety and the consequences of anti-social behaviour and deliberate fire setting.
Duties will cover/include;
Plan, deliver and evaluate targeted intervention to young people across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.
Network with established and new partners, both internally and externally.
Support Unitary Performance Group campaigns and station initiatives such as summer arson reduction programmes and bonfire/fireworks safety activities.
Engage, encourage, inspire and support the personal development of young people aged 11 to 19 and help young people to be aware of fire safety and the consequences of anti-social behaviour and deliberate fire setting.
Promote other Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service youth engagement programmes as a progression route for young people.
Attend regular meetings for the evaluation, review and assessment on an individual and area basis.
Submit regular reports of the ‘On The Streets’ programme to the Cadet Manager and make a significant input to staff team discussions in order that further planning, review and evaluation is undertaken.

Understanding of young people’s issues
Knowledge of Safeguarding policies and procedures
