Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service staff offering safety advice to residents and businsses

Teams of representatives from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with Cheshire Police and other local organisations will be joining forces for a safety and wellbeing event in Crewe town centre on Tuesday 20th February.

The event will start at 10am in Crewe Market Square and will run until 3pm, so if you plan to be in Crewe on Tuesday, please come and see us.

There will be vintage fire engines and the Service’s Kitchen Safety Vehicle, along with police and ambulance vehicles, will be on display, presenting a great opportunity for families enjoying their half-term holiday to have a close-up look at some of the county’s emergency vehicles.

Crewe Town council has joined forces to bring together local partners, community groups and local businesses together to create an informative and enjoyable event.  Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire Police, North West Ambulance Service, Crewe Town Council Cheshire East Community Development Team, ANSA Waste Management and Everybody Leisure will be on hand to give out key safety advice and highlight prominent safety concerns to local business owners and residents.

Advice for local businesses

The Protection teams from Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service will be visiting businesses to talk about business safety and, in particular, their responsibilities under the fire safety order,  while crews, advocates and partners will be on the streets of Crewe engaging with the public, giving them key safety advice and sign-posting them to partners.

Advice for residents

Residents will be given home safety, health and wellbeing advice as well as useful information from local service providers.
