Three fire engines from Macclesfield, Congleton and Bollington

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled a kitchen fire on the ground floor of a terraced property on Pitt Street. All occupants were accounted for. One person suffering from smoke inhalation was taken to hospital for further checks as a precaution. The fire was extinguished with a hose reel jet, and a high-pressure fan was used to help clear the smoke. Checks were carried out in neighbouring properties to ensure there were no signs of fire spread.
