Boat on fire in Chester

Firefighters attended a 32 foot dorn craft on fire on the Shropshire Union canal off Long Lane Waverton. Crews used two hose reel jets, two main jets and two breathing apparatus to put out the fire. 

Three gas cylinders were reported to be on the vessel and crews used two hose reels to protect surrounding boats.

They then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots. The boat was totally destroyed by the fire.   Crews were at the scene for three and a quarter hours.
