Car fire in Macclesfield

Jordangate, Macclesfield.

One fire engine attended from Macclesfield and one from Bollington

Shortly before 8am firefighters were called to reports of a car fire on a multi-storey car park in Macclesfield.
Crews attended the scene and discovered one vehicle was well alight.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
No other vehicles were affected by the incident, although the car park was heavily smoke logged.
The team were in attendance at the scene for approximately one hour 30 minutes.
