At around 11.50am firefighters were called to reports of a car being on fire at the Europa Boulevard in Warrington.
On arrival the crew found a small fire in the engine compartment of a people carrier in the Ikea car park.
No other vehicles were involved.
Firefighters made the vehicle safe and were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
