Car fire on the M6

Two fire engines attended from Middlewich and Lymm.

Details
At 9.30 firefighters were called to reports of a car fire on the M6 southbound between junctions 19 to 18.

On arrival the crews found a saloon car which was well alight on the hard shoulder.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down, they also used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots. 

The crews were in attendance at the incident for around 40 minutes.
