A car well alight on a road in Disley was extinguished by firefighters who used a hose reel. Due to the close proximity of the fire to nearby properties they were all evacuated as a precaution. These included two commercial premises and one domestic property. The road was closed while the incident was dealt with and crews managed the water run off with absorbent mats.
