Caravan on fire in Crewe

Two fire engines from Crewe and one from Alsager

A caravan was well alight in a field in Crewe. Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to tackle the blaze. They then turned over the debris and damped down the area. Four LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders were removed from the scene as the fire was being fought.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with any information is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 1096 of 23 May.
