Carbon dioxide alarm sounding at fast food restaurant in Runcorn

One fire engine attended from Runcorn

Shortly before 8.30pm firefighters were called to reports of a carbon dioxide alarm sounding in the stock room of a fast food restaurant in West Lane, Runcorn.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a gas monitor to check carbon dioxide readings.
They then isolated three gas cylinders.
The cylinders containing carbon dioxide were taken out of the restaurant to a secure compound.
Paramedics checked over staff at the restaurant as a precaution.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 50 minutes.
