30/10/2020 - 14:18

Flixton Drive, Crewe.

Three fire engines attended, two from Crewe and one from Nantwich

Firefighters were called following reports of smoke at a property in Flixton Drive.

On arrival the crew found smoke coming from the roof and chimney.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reel jets to extinguish the flames.

The gas and electric supply was also isolated.

It is believed that the fire was caused by a nest in the chimney breast behind a gas fire.

Crews then cut away and damped down the affected areas.
