Electrical incident in Warrington

Two fire engines attended from Warrington. One other appliance also attended.

A fire alarm sounding alerted firefighters to a building in Warrington, where there was a smell of smoke. Reports said the building's electrics were flickering whilst the grid was emitting smoke. Popping and hissing noises were heard coming from electrical ducting underneath the pavement, which had begun issuing black smoke. The road was cordoned off as crews began to isolate the electrics.
