At around 12.45am firefighters were called to a report of a fire at a house on Venns Road in Warrington.
The fire involving an electrical socket was out on arrival.
Firefighters isolated the electricity supply to the house and used a large high pressure fan to clear smoke from the property.
They were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
