Firefighters were called to a fire underneath a grid and set up a cordon around the area and a covering jet as a precaution as smoke was seen pulsating from the grid. A large plumb of smoke burst out of the grid causing electrics to blow. The spread of smoke was stopped with a method using water spray and a thermal imaging camera was used to check the area. The Electricity North West attended and crews gained access to the grid to check the area before leaving.
