Hay lorry on fire in Church Lawton

One fire engine each from Alsager, Sandbach, Crewe and Kidsgrove (Staffordshire FRS)


Four fire engines were called to a fire involving a lorry carrying hay. Approximately four tonnes of hay was well alight.  Firefighters, four wearing breathing apparatus, used four hose reel jets to put out the fire. Farm machinery was used to clear and damp down the debris. Paramedics assessed one casualty, a man, for smoke inhalation.
