House fire in Huntington

Two fire engines attended from Chester

Shortly after 4pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire at a residential address on Chester Road, Huntington. 

Two fire engines from Chester attended the scene and found there was a fire in the living room of the property. 

Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, entered the room and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. 

The crews then used a large fan to clear the smoke from the building.

Firefighters also rescued a lizard and a tarantula from the house, both of which appear to be in good health. 

There were no reports of any injuries.
