UPDATE - Large fire involving multiple coaches in Rode Heath

Eight fire engines - two from Congleton, two from Crewe, one from Sandbach and three from Staffordshire (Kidsgrove, Newcastle and Cheadle)

Details

Firefighters dealt with a large fire involving multiple coaches at the back of a garage in Rode Heath. Eight fire engines in total from Congleton, Sandbach, Crewe and Staffordshire attended. Water hoses and foam were used to  control the fire and one pump remains at the scene damping down.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

UPDATE - 25th March at 11:55  

One fire engine remains at the scene with firefighters removing burning debris with the aid of a mechanical digger.  Fire investigation officers are at the scene. 

UPDATE - 26th March at 13:20

All fire engines had left the scene at 16:32 yesterday evening.  Fire investigators are continuing to look into the cause of the fire.

This fire was caused accidentally by an unattended brazier.
