Reports of a fire involving an intercom system in Chester

One fire engine attended from Chester

At around 3.30pm firefighters were called to reports that an intercom box outside a public house in Chester was smoking.

Firefighters attended the scene and found that a cigarette had been extinguished in the intercom, causing a small amount of burning.

The crew checked the box with a thermal imaging camera and there were no signs of fire.

Firefighters were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
