Small fire at a Macclesfield park

One fire engine attended from Macclesfield


Shortly before 9.30pm firefighters received a report of a fire at West Park off Prestbury Road in Macclesfield.

On arrival the crew discovered that it was a small fire under the awning of a museum.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

They then used a thermal imaging camera to look for hotspots and make sure that the fire was fully out.

Firefighters were in attendance for around half-an-hour.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
