Small fire involving a flatbed truck in Chester

One fire engine attended from Chester


Shortly before 1.30pm firefighters were called to reports of a fire involving a flatbed truck in Kelvin Grove, Chester.

On arrival the crew discovered that it was a small fire caused by a fuel spillage.

There was no sign of a leakage from the wagon's fuel tank.

Firefighters extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet and then monitored temperatures with a thermal imaging camera.

Once firefighters were satisfied that the scene was safe they departed.

They were in attendance for more than half-an-hour.
