Smoke alarm activated in Congleton

Two fire engines attended, one from Congleton and one from Crewe

At around 11.40am firefighters were notified of a smoke alarm sounding at a flat in Havannah Street, Congleton.
On arrival crews discovered that the alarm had been activated by cooking fumes.
Firefighters used a large fan to clear the fumes from the flat and were in attendance for around 20 minutes.
