Details
At around 12.40pm firefighters were called to a report of a significant amount of smoke at a flat on Moorfield Road in Widnes.
On arrival crews found smoke alarms sounding and that the smoke stemmed from an oven.
Firefighters also found that an occupier was suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
They gave the occupier oxygen before handing her over to the care of paramedics.
After being assessed it was decided that she did not need to go to hospital.
Firefighters made sure that the oven was safe and cleared the smoke from the flat using a large fan.
They were in attendance for around an hour-and-a-half.
