Smoke coming from a manhole in Ellesmere Port

One fire engine attended from Ellesmere Port

At around 10.30am firefighters were called to reports of smoke coming from a manhole on Chester Road in Ellesmere Port.
The crew removed the manhole cover, set up a cordon around the area as a safety precaution and liaised with the electricity provider.
The electricity provider attended and the incident was handed over to them.
Firefighters were in attendance for around 45 minutes.
