Two fire engines from Macclesfield

There was a fire in a substation on Charter Way. Firefighters were called and attended along with a high voltage engineer to assess the situation in the 20 metre by 20 metre building.  Cordons were established and the crews, two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, used dry powder and a covering jet to tackle the fire. The building was ventilated to clear smoke. Crews were at the scene for around two hours.
