Tumble dryer fire at an eatery in Crewe

Two fire engines attended from Crewe

Shortly after 12.40pm firefighters were called to a report of smoke coming from a tumble dryer at the Rockery Wood eatery on Weston Road in Crewe.
On arrival crews discovered a small fire contained within the tumble dryer on the first floor of the building.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The tumble dryer was removed from the building.
Firefighters used a large fan to clear smoke from the Rockery Wood and were in attendance for nearly an hour.
