Van fire in Chester

One fire engine attended from Chester

At around 1.30pm firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle fire on Warrington Road, Chester. 

On arrival the crew found a van which was well alight. The driver of the vehicle also reported that there was a petrol generator in the van.

One firefighter, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and dampen down. 

The crew were detained at the scene for around 45 minutes. 

The fire is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
