Details

An engine fault caused a van fire on the hard shoulder of the M62. Firefighters, one wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to monitor the temperature and lane one of the motorway was closed while the fire was tackled.
