Vehicle fire on A500 in Barthomley

Firefighters attended a vehicle fire on the A500 in Barthomley, near Crewe.  One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus and a hose reel extinguished the fire in the engine bay of the affected car and a full road closure was temporarily put in place while the incident was dealt with. Firefighters were at the scene for approximately one hour and 20 minutes.
