Vehicle fire on the M62

Two fire engines attended - one from Warrington and one from Wigan

Details
Shortly after 4pm firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle fire on the M62 eastbound between junctions 10 and 11.
On arrival crews discovered that the vehicle had pulled over to a safe location and that the fire involved its engine.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and cool the engine.
They were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
The Highways Agency also attended to manage traffic.
