Waste lorry fire in Crewe

Two fire engines attended - one from Holmes Chapel and one from Congleton

Shortly after 2pm firefighters were called to a report of a fire involving a large vehicle on Macclesfield Road in Crewe.
The fire involving the engine compartment of a lorry carrying garden waste was out on arrival.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to cool the waste lorry's engine compartment and a thermal imaging camera to make sure it was safe.
They were in attendance for more than an hour.
