Dreamnight at the Zoo
Firefighters from Chester took part in a special event at Chester Zoo for chronically ill and disabled children.
Blue and white watch were invited to attend Dreamnight on Friday 21 June.
The event provides a free evening for children with disabilities and chronic illnesses to enjoy with their families.
145 zoos in 29 different countries take part in Dreamnight events after it started in 1996.
About 1500 visitors came through the doors for the event and blue and white watch spent time showing the children the aerial appliance and fire engine which was situated next to the lion enclosure.
Firefighter Joseph Edmunds said: “The Dream Night evening was a great night for the service to be involved in and proved to be both hugely enjoyable with children queuing to have a look around the aerial appliance and the pump.
“It was very humbling and we could see the children and families having a fantastic experience especially going in the aerial appliance.”
